People greet each other saying ‘Eid Mubarak’ and
embracing each other. People also exchange gifts. They wear new clothes and also
children are given Eidi (sum of money) by the older people, in return, salaam
is offered by children.
The day of Eid
begins with offering of Eid prayers in the Mosque by the men. Then many men
tread toward graveyard to offer respect to their family members who are no more
with them. Once they come back to home from mosque they go visit friends,
relatives, neighbors and Murabbis who are the eldest members of the families.
They join them to eat special dishes that are prepared on the occasion of eid
for example, snacks, sweets and other special meal.
